# The Wine

Our choice of wine was inspired by the African Big 5 animals. Being the revered creatures that they are, we have gone to great lengths in searching and selecting phenomenal South African red wines from five of the variants that the Cape winelands has to offer.&#x20;

Sourced by the teams’ own Cape Wine Master, we have on-boarded reputable wineries to supply us with Merlot, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and from South Africa’s signature grape, the Pinotage, and offering these delicious wines as collectable NFTs: each variant represented and carefully matched with each of the big 5’s personalities.

### <mark style="color:green;">**Lion - Cabernet Sauvignon**</mark>

A bold and powerful variety, considered around the world to be the king of red grape varieties, just like the lion is the king of the African bushveld.

### <mark style="color:green;">Buffalo – Merlot</mark> <a href="#buffalo-merlot" id="buffalo-merlot"></a>

A variety that produces soft, rounded wines, akin to the “motherly” nature of a female buffalo, a very loyal variety that will always deliver

### <mark style="color:green;">Leopard - Cabernet Franc</mark> <a href="#leopard-cabernet-franc" id="leopard-cabernet-franc"></a>

produces elegant, medium-bodied, wines with moderate tannins, and can come across as shy and illusive seeing that it is not that common; has the ability to show its more serious, ferocious side like a female leopard.

### <mark style="color:green;">Elephant – Shiraz</mark> <a href="#elephant-shiraz" id="elephant-shiraz"></a>

A variety that becomes more complex as it ages, just like a wise old elephant bull.

### <mark style="color:green;">Rhino – Pinotage</mark> <a href="#rhino-pinotage" id="rhino-pinotage"></a>

Styles can vary from light and elegant, to big, broody and powerful, just like a male rhino can exhibit mild temperaments but also brute force.

With each NFT bought the holder will be given a bottle, labelled with the unique NFT, which we call a wine-NFT.
